Beginning Drama
This course exposes students to the basics of acting. Topics of study include improvisation, story theatre, mime, scenework, monologues, and one acts. The year ends with lunch time performances of student-directed one act plays.
Advanced Drama
This course continues to develop the skills students began learning in Beginning Drama. Topics of study include classical acting, auditioning, and scene work for competitions. Students in this course are required to attend one competition or festival each semester. Prerequisite: Beginning Drama or audition.
Beginning Technical Theater
This course exposes students to the basics of stagecraft. Topics of study include costumes, scenery, props, lighting, sound and publicity/graphic design.
Advanced Technical Theater
This course continues to develop students' skills in stagecraft. Students in this class are required to work on both mainstage productions each year, and they run tech for assemblies in the auditorium, as well as attending one festival or competition each semester. Prerequisite: Beg Tech Theatre or interview.
